Therapy That Understands How You Were Designed.

Most therapy focuses on managing symptoms. We focus on restoring the natural order of the human person. Using the wisdom of St. Thomas Aquinas and modern clinical science, we help you move from "surviving" to "thriving."

The Three-Step Interior Restoration

Phase 1: Clarity of the Intellect (The Mind)

  • The Philosophy: Seeking Truth.

  • The Therapy: We identify the "lies" or cognitive distortions that are fueling your anxiety or anger. We clear the "mental fog" so you can see your life and your challenges as they truly are.

Phase 2: Strength of the Will (The Choice)

  • The Philosophy: Choosing the Good.

  • The Therapy: We work on your "agency." Instead of being a slave to your impulses, we develop the discipline to make deliberate choices that align with your values as a Catholic man.

Phase 3: Peace of the Passions (The Emotions)

  • The Philosophy: Ordering the Emotions.

  • The Therapy: Using clinical tools (like trauma-informed care and regulation techniques), we help "settle" your nervous system. Your emotions stop driving the car and start providing the "fuel" for a virtuous life.

A Bridge Between Faith and Science

As an LCSW, I utilize evidence-based clinical practices. As a Catholic, I know that 'grace builds upon nature.' If your 'nature' (your psychology) is wounded or disordered, it’s harder to live the life of 'grace' (your faith). We fix the foundation so your spiritual life can flourish.

The “Path Forward” (Process Steps)

What You Can Expect

Therapy is a process, not a quick fix. Together, we’ll create a space to work through challenges, explore new perspectives, and build tools that help you feel more grounded and confident.

Most clients notice improvements after 12 sessions, such as:

• Improve stress management and emotional regulation

• Strengthen relationships and communication

• Clarify personal values and direction

Change takes effort—and it can feel uncomfortable at times. That’s normal. I’ll walk with you each step of the way as we move toward your goals.

The Flow of Therapy

First Session (Intake)

We look at your history and identify where the "disorder" is happening (is it a mind problem, a will problem, or an emotional regulation problem?).

Assessment

I will ask questions to better understand your worldview, strengths, concerns, needs, and relationship dynamics.  During this relationship-building process, I will gather a lot of information to help determine the therapeutic approach best suited to your needs and goals.

Setting Goals

We’ll define clear, realistic goals that guide our work and create milestones to celebrate along the way.

Doing the Work

Sessions focus on applying strategies, exploring insights, and practicing new skills. You’ll try things between sessions and bring your experiences back to refine the plan. We’ll review progress regularly and adjust as needed. We use a mix of "talk therapy" and practical "homework" to build new habits of thought and action.

Wrapping Up (Graduation)

As you reach your goals, we’ll discuss next steps—whether to reduce frequency or move toward closure—so you feel confident carrying your growth forward.

Session Length & Frequency

• Standard sessions: 50 minutes, usually weekly or biweekly based on your needs.

• EAP (Employment Assistance Program) sessions (when applicable): 30 minutes, with a set number of visits determined by your program (typically 6–12 sessions) using a solution-focused approach.

We’ll decide together on the frequency and duration that best support your progress. If I’m away for vacation, training, or illness, I’ll provide as much notice as possible and assist with rescheduling.

Bottom Line

Therapy is a partnership. With consistency, openness, and effort, it can be a powerful investment in your life and relationships.
